Bob Whipple spoke on “Renewal” at a meeting of GV SHRM on February 19, 2014.
The Genesee Valley SHRM Chapter hosted Bob Whipple, “The Trust Ambassador,” in a program centered on Renewal. Bob made the following four key points:
- The strategic process need not be an eternal exercise. Shorter is usually better.
- Strategy is critical for progress, but culture is even more important.
- Trust and Transparency are essential components of culture.
- The behaviors of leaders determines the level of trust in any organization.
Bob also discussed the importance of belief and attitude when organizations pursue challenging goals. Achieving difficult goals is possible with the right approach and high confidence.
